Finally!

Actually we did not move to Virgina. We were located to Exton, PA instead. Being here over1 year and 7 months, I am still not in love with this place, especially the weather. Finally, we plan to move back to Southern California. Hopefully the date can be set ASAP before the cold winter comes. I really miss the California beach.

Griff Observatory

We went to Griff Observatory today and it's pretty nice. The admission is free. From the observatory, you could see the Hollywood sign and downtown LA and culver city. By the observatory, there is a hiking trail. Maybe when Katelyn and Ella grows bigger, we can go hiking.
The content inside the observatory is hard for Katelyn. Even I think is hard but very educational and we know how the universe borned. Well, it's good to take kids out for some free educational resource. :p

2 Yrs and 3 months

Katelyn now is 2 yrs and 3 months old. She is super energetic and still in terrible 2 era. She loves watching 巧虎 and her language ability is getting better and better. Quite busy with her everyday. She has parenting education class Monday and Wednesday, and speech class Tuesday and Thursday. I plan to send her to the preschool when she turns three. Still in potty training. Hope she can get rid of diaper soon and help us save some money. :p

9Month and 2 weeks

Ella is 9 months and 2 weeks now. I havn't seen her for 2 months already. She grows so fast and becomes a different baby now. I miss her a lot.
Ella! No matter where you are, Mommy loves you very much. I miss you. Hope you are happy in Taiwan with grandma and grandpa.
BTW, Katelyn now will held her toy cell phone and say "meimei". I think she misses you a lot also.

1. Ella now knows how to roll over very well. Good job! Ella!
2. Ella can grab the toys and put in her mouth. Still drooling a lot.
3. Super under weight. Compared to 4 month(13 pounds 8 oz), She only gains 6 oz, which is one bottle of milk. I do not understand why her weight grows so slow. Other than weight, she is doing good.
4. She begins to eat solid food from 4 month and now she is doing pretty good now. In the beginning she keep pushing the food out by her tongue. Now she learns how to swallow. The doctor recommends us to feed her more solid to help her gain weight.
5. She now how to play her car seat toy.
6. She likes us to read books for her.
7. She likes to go out to see the new things.
8. She likes to talk a lot, and sometimes yells.
Overall, Ella is doing great. I love you! Ella!

Ella is three months old now. She is a pretty easy girl and she likes to smile a lot. She is such a sweet girl. She likes us to talk and sing to her and she will try to response by her baby language. She is my sweet little baby girl.

Flower Girl

On July 7, 2007, my daughter was Nina's flower girl. She was so cute and brave. She did not cry during the ceremony. Yes, the flower boy did cry during the ceremony and we did not not know what to do. So flower boy's dad and I had to hold them and walk them faster to the end where the priest stood.
I enjoyed Nina's wedding. The food was great and they make the ceremony short so we did not stay long under the big sun. The only bad thing was I brought the wrong battery for my camera so I did not take any photo. OMG!
Nina. I am counting on you to post the wedding photos online so I can see how cute my daughter is and my beautiful you are.

Recently I fall in love with the Taiwanese idol show "超級星光大道". Today one of the famous singer( 楊宗緯) said that he is not going to join the show anymore. So sad!
Just because he lies on his age?! So what?! I like his voice, not how handsome he looks, not how young he is. I think the reporters give him too much pressure. I really hope he will still come back in another way (Hopefully he is going to have his album) and sing to everyone. 0601楊宗緯：聽說愛情回來過

Free Visit On Hungtinton Library

Bank of America offers " Museums on Us" program for the whole May. As long as you show your BoA credit/ATM card or MBNA credit card, you can visit the museum for free. :D! I shall take this opportunity and enjoy the free visit. We went to Huntington Library yesterday and it's really nice. The weather was great and the free visit was even better.Although when I went back home, my feet were kind of sour. The Chinese garden was not ready yet. Hopefully next year I still get a chance to go there for free to visit the new Chinese garden.

Last night my mom went back to Taiwan. Kind of sad! I was so happy when my mom came to visit me. She helped me to take care Katelyn and play with her. My baby loved her. I was so happy when she was here coz someone can talk to me and I feel it's more fun in my life.
Well, I guess I need to wait till October to see my mom again since she will come to help me to take care me and my babes on October. My due date is October. Last week I went for my regular maternity check up and the doctor said it's a girl when he used the ultra sound to check it. I am kind of disappointed since I wanna have a boy. One girl and one boy. That will be perfect. Well, it's OK. Another girl is also welcome. No matter what, they are my baby. Just need to begin to think of the name...

I miss my student life

I really miss my student life. No financial pressure, no need to worry about kids.... The only thing I need to concentrate is my study and have fun after the exam.
I am thinking to take another degree for my next career qhwn my baby can go to preschool. Here is some option which I am interested in :
1. Oriental medicine and acupuncture
2. Accounting
3. Finance
4. Engineering again
5. Others
Any good suggestion for a good career?

Sigh~ It's been 4 months already to be a full time mom and housewife. I think time really flies. Actually I am kind of hesitate to find the job since I know it's hard to find the job like my previous job with a great manager. I want to find a job that I can balance my life, my family and my work. But you know for engineer, it sounds impossible unless you are really lucky or you would like to go for super low pay.
Another reason is my daughter. She has not been to the nanny place for 4 months and I believe she is not used to go there now. Even though the nanny is nice but still it's different from nanny and mother. The nanny won't pay lots attention to her since she has to take care more than one baby.
I am also afraid that if I do not go for a job now , it's gonna hard for me to find the job in the future. And what I am going to do in the future? I need money to retire, not even mention about now. But the thing is I do not even know I like engineer or not any more. When I study for it, I know once I graduate, I can fins a good job with good pay. Also, I also wanna try to fulfill my older brother's dream. I've never think of I like it or not. I do not hate it, but I do not really love it. The engineering is not the one I really love which I will go for a lot of books and info and try to increase my knowledge. Well, I like to cook so I will go online and search lots of info and try to find the great recipe. For engineering, I only do that when my job requires me to do so.
Money! Money! Money! Even going back to the school requires money...

We bought the walker for baby when she was 9 month old. In the beginning, I was kind of hesitate buying it since most people do not recommend it. But I grew up in Taiwan and every baby has a walker. No body has problem on it. I think I just need to keep an eye on my baby every time she uses it.
In fact, she loves it and learn how to walk forward the next day. The very first day she got it, she only knew backup. She kept backing up and it's really funny to watch her. I do not expect she learns to walk fast. I just want to give her another toy and make her happy. :) I love you, baby!

Pumpkin Bread

I made the pumpkin bread for the breakfast since I feel the bread price keeps going up... Every week I spend about 10 dollars on breakfast bread. Since now I become full time housewife. I think I need to show my hubby how good housewife I am by making the bread. The left bread which covers with cheese is chicken breast and mushroom flavor. The right hand side bread which covers with parsley is chicken breast with green/yellow/red pepper and cheese. The recipe is from CL and the bread tastes really soft. Very easy and yummy. Try it when you have time.

Baby Sick

Today I took my baby to see the doctor since she caught a cold. Sigh~ It's so tiring. She is underweight already and since she catches a cold, it's even worse. Almost every time we feed her, she vomits even the medicine. Now I realize how great mom is. You can not get sick and have to work 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week to take care the baby. I tell myself that I do not have right to get sick. I need to take care my baby.
I do not have a lot of patient but for my baby, I think I improve a lot. Sometimes I really get mad when she refuses to eat but I try to control myself. Patience! Patience! Patience! I really wish my baby can get better and gain more weight. I need to be strong to help my baby become stronger.

Taiwan---BeiPu(北埔)

Taiwan-----Yeah-liu (野柳)

Not sure how to spell 野柳... Ok! I will spell yeah-liu. We went to Yeah-liu (野柳) during my 2006 Taiwan trip and I felt that place changed a lot comparing few years ago when I went with Catherine. The government did something to make it look better and cleaner even though now we need to pay for admission. $NT50/per person. It's good that they try to protect it. The queen head is almost gone..... It was a very windy day but it's good to go out with the family. Yeah-liu (野柳) park is very big and we can not finish the whole park. Well... havn't walk for a long time .. and I am kind of hurry to finish the trip so I can go for the sea food... just kidding. You know, it's not easy to walk for a long when holding the baby. One thing I need to complain is that the park is not baby friendly park and it's not easy to use stroller. Still, it's a good place to educate kids the beauty of the nature. I think I will bring my baby to Yeah-liu (野柳) again when she can walk. :)

30th Birthday

This year is a very special year for me. I have a lot of "First" experience. I got my first baby . First time to get reduction in force. Now I am stepping into 30... Hard to believe. Time really flies.

I did not expect to get anything from Kin since both of us are so busy and when Kin has time, he is always with me and baby. But surprisingly, Kin did arrange sometime to buy me a gift. I do not know how he got some time to go to Pasadena and buy the gift for me but he is really touching my heart. He did try the best to make me happy. Thank you my dear. Word can not express how much I love you . I really like the gift . It's a very memorable 30 years birthday with you and our lovely baby.

Banana Bread

Sometimes I like to make banana bread when I have some ripe banana and I try to use them ASAP. I am glad my hubby likes it. It only takes 5 mins to prepare. Very easy and delicious. I forget to take a picture when I bake the bread. I will add the picture next time when I make it again.
Recipe for banana bread: (For two mini loaf)

1 tablespoon milk

1/4 cup oil

1/2 cup sugar

1 eggs

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Mix everything and bake at 350F.

8 Month

My baby is 8 month now. Let's see what she can do now: 1. She can stand up with support. She loves stand up. She will hold the crib bar and stand up. 2. She still drinks about 5 oz with 1 scoop of cereal. I think I'll cut her lunch milk and feed her more solid food instead. 3. Her weight is about 17lb 6oz. Too skinny. Below the average. Sigh~ I tried to feed her almost every 3 hrs. Milk, cereal, solid food, finer good! How come she is still so skinny. Everytime I take her to see the doctor, I feel so em brassed coz I am afraid the doctor will think I did not feed her. But I try to feed her a lot. I do not understand why she does not gain a lot of weight. 4. She loves her finger food--baby rice cracker. 5. She has three teethes now. Two down and one up.

Mixed Berry Jam Cookies

I made these jam cookies for honey's afternoon snack during the work. But the cookies are not that tasty as I think. Next time I'll try another recipe. If it's good, I'll post the recipe.

I bought the heart shape cutter in Marukai 99 cent store ( It should be called $1.50 store coz over 80% stuff in the store are $1.50) and I love......... it. So cute and easy to use. I think it's very useful especially during the Valentine's day!
